Child and Family Expo

Held in Berri in 2024, the Family Expo brought together a wide range of local services, professionals, and resources, all tailored to the needs of families in our region. Designed to be accessible, inclusive, and informative, the event offered a welcoming space for parents, caregivers, and children to explore the supports available in their community.

A key feature of the day was our guest speaker program, which included five engaging presentations on topics chosen in collaboration with local families. Through online polls and community conversations, we heard what mattered most so we curated talks that covered the unique challenges and opportunities that come with raising children in rural areas.

Throughout the day, families had the chance to chat with service providers, ask questions, collect helpful resources, and build early connections with the people and organisations who can support them. For many, it was an opportunity to learn what’s available before they’re in crisis, helping to break down the barriers that can often delay access to help.
